As a new branch of the light-duty pallet truck tier, the Staxx lithium battery pallet jack was made for the call of the times. We used to operate the hand pallet trucks that have a capacity of 2500 kg, but two adults can hardly push or pull it. A daily load of more than 500kg and an operating time longer than 3 hours could be harmful to the operator’s health in the long term. Lithium battery technology is not new to us, from phone applications in the first decade to massive vehicle adoption in the last ten years. The fast-growing electric car market urges technical support on lithium batteries, especially on battery security and performance. Compared to AGM batteries, lithium batteries don’t have a memory effect. Therefore, you may charge the lithium pallet jacks to 100% and use the pallet truck immediately. Meanwhile, it is convenient for battery replacement, making shifts with two batteries possible for intense work and conditions where charging is difficult. It is also more environmentally friendly and offers higher energy densities, further enhancing warehouse productivity.
Higher energy density: Lithium-ion batteries have a much higher energy density than lead-acid batteries, which means they can store more energy in a smaller, lighter package. On average, lithium-ion batteries have an energy density that doubles lead-acid alternatives.
Longer lifespan: Lithium-ion batteries have a much longer lifespan than lead-acid batteries. A typical lithium-ion battery can last up to 3,000 charging cycles, while a lead-acid battery may only last for 500 charging cycles. Lithium-ion batteries can last up to six times longer than lead-acid batteries.
Faster charging: Lithium-ion batteries can be charged much faster than lead-acid batteries. A lithium-ion battery can be fully charged in just 2-3 hours, while a lead-acid battery can take 8 hours to reach the same charge level.
Maintenance-free: Lithium-ion batteries do not require regular maintenance such as topping up with distilled water or equalizing charges like lead-acid batteries. That essentially eliminates the costs of battery upkeeping and maintenance cost.
Higher efficiency: Lithium-ion batteries have a higher efficiency than lead-acid batteries. This means that they can convert more of the energy they store into usable power for the equipment they are powering. For example, a lithium-ion battery can have an efficiency of up to 95%, while a lead-acid battery may only have an efficiency of 80-85%.
Lighter weight: Lithium-ion batteries are much lighter than lead-acid batteries, making them easier to transport and install. Lithium-ion batteries can weigh as little as 1/3 to 1/4 of the weight of lead-acid batteries.
