We used to operate manual hand pallet trucks that have a capacity of 2500 kg, but two adults can hardly push or pull it on rough or sloped yard surfaces. Faster Charging: Lithium-ion batteries can be charged much faster than lead-acid batteries. A lithium-ion battery can be fully charged in just 2-3 hours, while a lead-acid battery can take 8 hours to reach the same charge level.
Maintenance-Free: Lithium-ion batteries are maintenance-free, meaning they do not require regular maintenance such as topping up with distilled water or equalizing charges like lead-acid batteries. That essentially eliminates the costs of battery upkeeping and maintenance.
Higher Efficiency: Lithium-ion batteries have a higher efficiency than lead-acid batteries. This means that they can convert more of the energy they store into usable power for the equipment they are powering. For example, a lithium-ion battery can have an efficiency of up to 95%, while a lead-acid battery may only have an efficiency of 80-85%.
Lighter Weight: Lithium-ion batteries are much lighter than lead-acid batteries, making them easier to transport and install. Lithium-ion batteries can weigh as little as 1/3 to 1/4 of the weight of lead-acid batteries.
